The Expansion Pak

If you've ever played Star Wars: Rogue Squadron without the Expansion Pak, you know that the graphics are pretty good but are a bit choppy. It was still a great game, but you kinda wished the graphics were better. Well guess what???? The Expansion Pak fixes all that.

The graphics in Rogue Squadron with the Expansion Pak blew me away. And it didn't just effect the graphics. Improved AI, more animations, increased color depth, more characters, larger levels, the Expansion Pak boasts all of this.

I was playing Rogue Squadron and something I could hardly believe happened: My wingman shot down an enemy fighter. I could not believe this, the AI never knows to do this. Ever since I saw this, I have firmly believed that the Expansion Pak was an extremely wise move on Nintendo's behalf. The graphics were astonishing. The game was not choppy, everything ran smoothly.

Rogue Squadron isn't the only game that benefits from this that I have seen. It did wonders for Turok 2 as well. The game did seem to run a little choppy, but the graphics and all-that-jazz were great. Unfortunately these are the only two games I've seen that use the Expansion Pak :(. However, I can truthfully say that through the games I've seen it used on, it is a must-have for any N64 owner.

Wow! An Expansion Pak!
